FitFood | Mmmango Sorbet!

Craving Alert: So like any normal person, I get cravings for things that don’t quite fit into my daily diet. Last night’s craving was all about ice cream- of the dairy-free variety of course since I’m lactose intolerant #TMI. But honestly, dairy or no-dairy, that creamy, cold sweetness is near irresistible… don’t pretend like you don’t know what I’m talking about ;).

Now, normally I’m not against treating yourself every now and again, but as I’ve mentioned in past posts I’ve been trying to stick to a strict clean diet to help get my body back to ‘normal’ after an eventful June and July. With my clean diet in mind, I knew that if I was going to give in I needed an alternative that would leave me feeling good about my choices… so instead of rushing to the grocery store to grab a high calorie ice cream treat, I decided to whip up a cup of Simply Delicious Mango Sorbet (don’t worry, the recipe is below), a choice that I knew I would feel good about, even after the last spoonful.

Not only was it delicious, but it’s also a quick and easy low calorie treat that has no added-sugar! Come on, how do you resist?

Simply Delicious Mango Sorbet – only 2 ingredients!
1 cup frozen mango and a splash of almond or coconut milk!
Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender (I use my Ninja) and buzz for 2-3 minutes! Throw a couple fresh or frozen blueberries on top for an added crunch!

…and Voila! home made “ice cream” in <5 minutes!
